Special Instructions / Quirks: |
Off-Network license renewals for hardware key (dongle)
users:
You will be notified by either the CoF Helpdesk or Amy Donnelly
(COSINe) when the annual license is renewed. If you have been using a hardware
key (dongle), they are no longer required as of April 2009.
To convert to the keyless licensing, you
will need to do the following:
- Install an update to the license manager (available
on the ESRI updates site at http://support.esri.com/index.cfm?fa=downloads.patchesServicePacks.viewPatch&PID=43&MetaID=1394
and also from the download server)
- Send Amy Donnelly the computer information to generate
a new license file, and include the FlexIm/MAC physical address of the
computer (instead
of a hardware key
number)
- Apply the new license file using the updated license manager
