EndNote Installation Guide

Description:

Endnote is a citation/bibliography manager program. It helps users organize references in a database, which can be used to format citation and create bibliographies automatically in a word processor.

License Information:

7 - concurrent user licenses (you must be connected to the COF intranet to run this program).

If you want a private copy of Endnote go to the OSU COSINe Endnote license webpage to purchase the software.

Path:

"Q:\INSTALL\WORDPRO\ENDNOTE.EXE"

Disk Space Required:

About 130MB. Files are copied to the local drive.

Instructions:

You must have Administrator Rights to install this program

To install Endnote run
Q:\Install\Wordpro\ENDNOTE.EXE.
The default installation will run the program from the local computer. The Endnote shortcut will be installed in the WordPro programs group.

CD Key:

Provided in popup window, please write it down as you will need to enter it during the installation.

Special Instructions / Quirks:

Please close the program when you are not using it to free up the license for other users. Endnote 6 or older libraries will be converted to Endnote X1 the first time you open them. If you share libraries all users must have the same version of Endnote. The computer needs to be connected to the COF intranet to check out a license.

Additional Information:

These options, when placed after ENDNOTE.EXE will do the following...

Rebuildicons - Will rebuild desktop and start menu icons to installer defaults.

Reinstall - Will reinstall program with previous settings in mind.

Reinstall! - Will reinstall program ignoring previous settings.
