What is Windows Mobile Classic ?

Previously known as PocketPC (PPC), this operating system runs on mobile devices like the HP iPaq and Dell Axim (discontinued). This OS uses the term "Classic" because it refers to a device without an integrated phone.

Microsoft has equiped the units with an Operating System stored in ROM (often flashable) which contains a suite of application products including Active Sync which connects the PPC and your workstation.
