Public Use and Instructional Lab


Location

The Peavy 236 lab is located on the second floor of Peavy Hall, on the far west side of campus.


Hours

Peavy 236 open lab hours :

    During the School year:

    • 8am - 6pm Monday through Friday

    During Summer, Winter break, and Spring break:
    • 8am - 5pm Monday through Friday

    The lab is always closed on Saturday and Sunday.

The room is frequently reserved for classes and workshops so be sure to check the schedule posted by the door. We ask that students not use the lab when it is being used by a class.


Authorized Users

Anyone with a Forestry account or an ONID ID is welcome to use the lab.


Hardware

The Peavy 236 lab consists of 1 instructor and 24 student computers:

  • 25 Dell Optiplex GX280 systems: P4 3.4GHz CPU; 2 GB RAM
  • HP 6200c flatbed scanner (attached to instructor system)
  • NoteVision 6 computer projector
  • Kodak slide projector

Software available in the computing labs in the College of Forestry is located at the following link.

ImageJ
JAWS, Kurzweil and MAGic installed on PVY236lab05, PVY236lab11, and PVY236lab17 only
