Ameriflux Access Instructions



If you need the username and password to access the ameriflux data, please click here.

Step 1

    Obtain a copy of SSH Tectia Client (previously SSH Secure Shell for Workstations) from ftp://ftp.ssh.com/pub/ssh. If you already have a copy, proceed to step 2. You will need to download the file SSHSecureShellClient-3.2.9.exe (the version number may change over time). Choose the option to save the file and save it to your desktop. Open the file after the download and it should automatically install the Secure Shell on your computer.

Step 2

    Start a new client by clicking Start > Programs > SSH Secure Shell > Secure File Transfer Client

Step 3

    Once you have the program open, press space bar (or enter) to bring up the quick connect window

Step 4

    The host name is floo.forestry.oregonstate.edu. Enter the username that you received in your email. If you do not have a username and password, please click here to get one. Leave all other fields at their default values. Click the connect button.

Step 5

    A password window will pop up. Enter the password you received in your email

Step 6

    Once you are connected, click on the TERRA_PROJECTS folder. Inside that folder, you will find two more folders. Click on the Metolius folder.

Step 7

    If you would like to upload files, please drop them in the upload directory. To retrieve files, get them from the download directory.
